My Top 5 "Take That, McGyver!" Products!

'Take that, MacGyver!'

Finally! Well, having an idea doesn't necessarily mean knowing how to implement it. But let's proceed in stages.
By virtue of a presumption that I'd define absolute, the fact that you are here implies that you already know S., the mastermind behind Drama&Makeup, a mythical creature with long raven hair that I envy every day of my life. S. has created a series of posts on a weekly basis that are now imposed on the beauty blogging scene overtaking cats and Yankee Candles. You can no longer be a beauty blogger if you haven't participated in a Top 5 .

To celebrate her absurd numerical goals (stuff that I can only dream of) S. has set up a contest asking us to propose a topic for the next Top 5. Guess who won?

I know, McGyver was a low blow, but blame your hormones and not me. Anyway, thanks to those who voted for my idea, regardless of the level of awareness that have pushed you.
Here is my proposal:

'Take that, McGyver!' - Those five products we could do anything with, the swiss knives of our stash.

Lush Maisenza/Let The Good Times Roll

Let The Good Times Roll is now well known far and wide, I know, but I am one of those who believe that an extra opinion never hurts, specially considering the fact that I haven't found any review of people with my same problem yet. That I have the credibility of a flea bitten skunk is another story.

Let's start with a reference to my skin.
Dry. Very dry. And also sensitive. She litterally cracks at any temperature or climate, at 40 degrees as low as -25. However, I am not free from blemishes, even if I've never had any proper pimple, even in the days when I used to write pieces of songs on the bench. My only gripe are some small subcutaneous accumulations of keratin that I have on my forehead and arms. Something that you would notice only touching the skin if I could just stop trying to eradicate them continuously with nails, needles and all sorts of media . Do not judge me, I can't help that. The result, of course, is a Freddy Krueger in miniature.
Anyway, the most appropriate remedy for this problem is a continuous exfoliation, preferably not only mechanical. Which, obviously, my skin is too sensitive to bear.

Easy to understand how the idea of a cleanser that gently exfoliates and that I could then use every day won me without any difficulty.

Dramma.

Il giorno dopo erano andati out of stock. Panico ancora.
Risultato? Questi

When Firmoo glasses began to make their appearance on the blogging scene I, as an easily suggestible person, knew that sooner or later I would have bought a pair. Then they contacted me. Tragedy. After an initial moment of euphoria I went into panic. Accepting the collaboration would have meant to choose a pair, and anyone who knows me may confirm you that when it comes to indecision I'm in my natural element, but, especially, it would have meant to talk about glasses, which I usually buy, break, and put aside.
By means of 'how hard can it be?' I was convinced and I finally agreed.

I immediately jumped on a model that I had fancied for a while, a pair Ray-Ban-like glasses that seemed to be made just for me. The next day they went out of stock. Panic again.
So I thought to opt for prescription glasses. I don't have any particular problem, but thanks to publishers who seem more and more warried about global warming and notes that you're forced to read from the online previews in order to not create yet another fake account, some of my 10/10 have definitely gone to other shores.
I was ready to take a trip to the optician, but my inexperience in the field made me give up. Even if the site asks you every possible parameter the risk of doing a serious harm, for me, was too high.
The result? These ones.

Back in Business & Random Stuff

If I were Firefox I would now pop up with a nice 'Well, this is embarrassing!', I would invite you to open a new tab and behave as if nothing had happened. The truth is that disappearing for two months to then come back as I'm doing is much more awkward than embarassing, so I don't blame you if you have replaced me with Chrome to open me up only when you need my plug-in to connect to iPlayer.
Firefox, God I've been terrible to you.

Anyway, I'm back! With my crappy pace and posts of dubious value, but I'm back!

Since I'm not going to bore you with the reason for this long absence, I'll talk about some of my recent obsessions. Which is probably worse, I know.
